Extended Day Program

The St. Francis of Assisi School Extended Day Program (EDP) is a state licensed facility that provides a safe and caring environment before and after school care to meet the needs of families at St. Francis of Assisi School. Our program is dedicated to providing the students with a nurturing and caring program that is both stimulating and enjoyable.  We also reinforce the high values of the school and impart these through example and respectful discipline.

The EDP provides morning care from 7am to 8:15am.  A snack is provided, and/or students may bring their own breakfast.

The EDP provides after school care from 3:00 - 6:00pm (2:15pm on Wed), Monday through Friday when school is in regular session.  EDP is not open on half days, early-dismissal days, or school holidays unless otherwise posted.  EDP offers ‘drop-in’ care in addition to regular care.  The EDP provides a snack at the beginning of the program, and a second snack at 4:30pm (3:45pm on Wednesdays).  Students are required to bring a water bottle daily with their name on it during before and after school care.

Homework Club is provided for students in 1st -3rd grade for 30 minutes.  Homework club is provided for students in 4th– 8th grade for 60 minutes.  Students may go outdoors to play when they finish their homework.

Program activities include crafts, sports, board games, air hockey, foosball, group play, quiet play, and free play.

The 2024/2025 EDP Parent Handbook (linked), includes all of the information about our program.  It can also be found on RenWeb under Resource Documents.  The EDP Parent Handbook is subject to change according to State guidelines and regulations.

To register your student in RenWeb on the parent portal, see the instructions below.
   Step one is the EDP Registration paperwork;
   Step two is the EDP Contract Signature page and ‘Pay it’ link to pay the $45.00 registration fee per family;
   Step three are the forms needed if your student has any type of allergy, asthma, diabetes, food allergy, are taking medication, have a medical condition, limitations of any type, or have any type of life-threatening reactions, etc.
