As we begin the new calendar year, Father Nguyen is delighted to announce the hiring of Dorothy "Dottie" Farewell as the new Principal of the St. Francis of Assisi School. Dottie was chosen after an extensive search process. She will join our school starting July 1st, 2025 at the beginning of the new school year.

The school is truly blessed to have found such a talented leader. In the words of one of her former pastors, she is the "complete package." She brings a proven track record of promoting academic excellence while nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and social development of young minds. We are excited to have Dottie lead our school into the next phase of its development.

Dottie brings with her a wealth of experience in Catholic education. Currently, she is the Principal at the St. Pius X School in Mountlake Terrace. There she was critical in transforming the school and raising the scholastic bar to the next level. Prior to that, she served as the Instructional Dean at the St. John the Evangelist School, where she strengthened her knowledge of curriculum development. Earlier to that, and concurrently to her role at St. John the Evangelist, she also served as the Director of Religious Education at the St. Joseph Parish.
